Welcome She-Knits Knitters!

=== SCROLL DOWN FOR INFO. ABOUT HOW TO JOIN ===

Hello and welcome to knitters of She-Knits patterns. Inspired by a lovely knitting customer who just finished the XL Bowling Bag, Cables on Pockets (shown above), and because some of my patterns have been blissfully selling like hotcakes, I thought I would offer a knit-a-long so we could have a forum in which we could all share, connect, support one other and exhibit (aka totally show-off) our She-Knits purses.

Now who out there is going to cast on a bag, where are you from and what yarn are you using??

***TO JOIN THE SHE-KNITS KAL***

You must be knitting a She-Knits pattern. You can purchase your She-Knits pattern at She Knits for Knitters shop at the link on the side bar (click on She Knits for Knitters which is located under the thumbnail pictures) or go to She-Knits.com and click on the link for patterns.

Leave a comment on the She-Knits KAL and ALSO send an e-mail to:
sdreifuss(AT)msn(DOT)com

In your e-mail, be sure to include:

1. your name
2. e-mail address
3. your blog URL (if you have one)

I will then send you an invitation to join the blog so you can kindly post to the group:

1. which She-Knits pattern you are going to knit (need to know this one)
2. any questions or pictures you have or want to share
2. your blog URL (want to know this one so we can connect better, and of course if
you are blogless that's fine too)
3. where in the world you live (we are all just curious on this one)
4. Thumb ring size, favorite yarn color and favorite stitch marker size (this is
in case we do prizes!)

You may want to print out or save this post as a reference.

Hello all,

I had to convert my Blogger account from 2003 over to Google. Think I'm back on track.

Can't wait to get started on this - just have to get my needles first.

I'd love to join! I just finished my xl bowling bag cables on pockets in brown from the kit, and I'm sure there's going to be more she-knits bags coming off my needles :)

Oh, and I must say that I really like the bag in the green and cream. Very nice.

I'll be knitting the bowling bag as well.

I don't have a clue what me Thumb ring size is. favorite yarn color is pink (not too bright) and oranges/browns, favorite stitch marker size would be the size that fits on sock needles (2 MM or so)

I want to join the fun in cyber world connectivity. I am going to to try the bowling bag - cables on pockets. I just today got a paypal account at Sharon's suggestion and maybe someday soon I can figure out how to create my own blog (would I have enough to say?).

I live in central Illinois in a very rural area. As I type I can hear a combine in a nearby field. I have no idea my thumb size. I love yarn! I can work with most colors but love brown's and golds and beige with a little burnt orange thrown in.

I'm joining the fun... just can't decide which to do first - Pipes & Braid, or Cables on Pocket/Bowling Bag.

No real favorite yarn color, but tend to go with neutrals, blue/green/purples, dark reds.

Can't wait to get started & I love seeing everyone's pics!

I have no idea on my thumb ring size, but can you believe it is about 3 inches around?? Yikes! I LOVE purple and all the jewel tones. I do lots of large projects, but also socks so, ring markers could be any size.!

Hi Sharon,
Ok, you talked me into it. I'll join the KAL too. I've recently knit the Melly's Cousin Bag and just purchased the pattern for the Ali Bag. I'm in Pennsylvania and found you through your podcast (can't remember where I found the podcast though).
