Another Melly Bag...

I made another version of the Melly bag but this time I went with contrasting colors... I love the way it turned out!!

This one was made with Paton's Classic Wool Merino (doubled) so it's smaller than the 'original' made with Burly Spun, but it's still a good size. The Paton's felted really well (one cycle thru the wash) except the cream didn't felt as much as the other colors. I've heard that sometimes white doesn't felt in some yarns - anyone know why??

Happy Knitting!

The colors look great together! I think white typically doesn't felt well b/c the fiber is bleached, and this does something to it that apparently interferes with the felting. Of course, I could have totally made that up, but it sounds good to me!

great colors! I think Valerie is correct about the bleaching.

nYou ow have an official JavaNut style to your Melly bag - I really do love the little trick you do with the two color cable!
